THE END OF AN ERA
After almost seventy years of holding an Annual Exhibition, we regrettably have to report that there will be no further Exhibitions.
Our 66th Annual Exhibition was scheduled to be held
between Monday 19th and Saturday 24th October 2020 in the Sileby
Community Centre.
In 2021, we had planned a two-day Exhibition for
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th October, but severe restrictions on
numbers carried forward by the Parish Council from July 2020 meant that
it became unviable and was abandoned.
The Parish Council then increased the charges for
what would have been our 2022 Exhibition by 103% and with efforts to
find an alternative venue for this and future events proving fruitless,
the decision was made to end the practice of holding an Annual
Exhibition.
